What happened to Crowdable?

Because I firmly believe organizations should only exist while they are useful, and because crowdable is not longer used, I’ve closed it, and converted it to a blog that will, periodically, and as often as the crowd involves itself, post news and thoughts about crowd-power and crowd-fun.

Crowdable had a run though: I created it during the Iran Election protests of 2009 to aggregate international solidarity demonstrations. Later it expanded to include actions surrounding the sustainability movement. In all, it promoted 459 actions around the world which were viewed 25,000 times.

Thank you for your involvement — the thing about crowds is they’re made up of people. Individual action in cooperation with other individual actions makes crowd-power. If you’ve posted a demonstration or retweeted an action, you’ve been a part of the crowd.

Follow the RSS feed to stay tuned for more news about crowds.
